Thunder  Blue Battles at the Beach...

           Thunder Blue played their season finale in Myrtle Beach (November 20-22) in the competitive WFC Battle at the Beach.  Looking for redemption after last year’s early exit, the Thunder made a run, but came up just short.  The Thunder finished 5th in the 21 team tournament with their only losses to the 4th place team and the eventual champion Tanel 360...see WFC Battle for more…

 

 

 

 

Thunder  Blue  continues  tradition of Success!!

           In 2009, the Thunder Blue (2nd year 14U) continued to build on their success and enhance their reputation as one of the premier softball organizations in the Richmond area.

           In a season that will be remembered for several torrential weekend rains (3 tournament rainouts) - the Thunder played their most competitive schedule ever which  included 3 16U tournaments … after winning their 1st tournament (Memorial Day Classic), the Thunder placed in the top 5 in 4 of their 7 remaining tournaments, including a 2nd place finish in the SoftballNation Nationals…

           Thunder coaches would like to thank the girls for their hard work, the families for their dedication, and the many others that have supported the team in 2009…

           Best of luck to the Thunder girls as they move on to their many other activities including Spring school softball — looking forward to getting the Thunder family together again for the 2010 travel softball season!!
