Thunder Red Get Silver (3rd Place)
in Just Second Tournament of 2006!

Sports Complex was home to the
"Winter Meltdown" Pony
Tournament held March 25-26,
2006. Again Hanover Thunder
made a good showing with their
steady play and strong
determination.
Saturday's
first game was against the Shooting
Stars Gold which Thunder won
7-2. The second game of the
day resulted in a 5-1 Thunder loss
to the Shamrocks. The last
game on Saturday had Thunder playing
against the East Orange Stingers
which Thunder won 12-0.
The
competition for the first game on
Sunday had Thunder playing the
Northern Neck Rage and winning by a
score of 9-1. However Sunday's
game for Thunder once again brought
them head-to-head against the
Richmond Heat. The time, the
results were different, with Thunder
winning by a score of 12-4.
The third game of the day had
Thunder facing a tough Extreme Fury
Red team. Although Thunder
lost this game by a score of 10-3,
they were presented with the third
place trophy out of a published
field of 16.
Once
again Hanover Thunder Red made a
good showing outscoring their
opponents 44-22 after 27 innings of
play and with opponent at bats
totaling 119.
