Thunder Red Breaks the Ice 
on the 2006 Season!

ICEBREAKER PONY TOURNAMENT

Hanover Thunder Red, managed by David Whitlock, and coached by Scott Holmes and Rick Deemer participated in their first tournament of the season at Mathis Park on March 11 and 12, 2006.

In their opening game Saturday, Thunder played against the Chaos, winning by a score of 8-0.  Thunder played a close game against the Richmond Heat but lost by a score of 8-5.  The third game of the day Thunder Red played against Shooting Stars White and chalked up another win by a score of 12-0.

Sunday, the Thunder played against New Kent blast winning 10-0, to move them into the next round.  The second game of the day once again pitted Thunder against the Richmond Heat.  Thunder played steady and fought hard but came up short, losing the contest by a score of 7-5.

Hanover Thunder Red played a tournament they could be proud of, outscoring their opponents 40-15 with Richmond Heat being the only team to score against them.
